How does a Brand Manager differ from a Marketing Manager?

In terms of marketing we do things a little differently to most agencies. We offer what I like to call ‘Brand Management’. How this differs is that we really take the time to get under the skin of your business, we don’t just specialise in one area of marketing but consider what marketing activities are right for your business. Where are you going to get the most bang for your buck, who are your target audience and where are they going to see you, long term and short term strategies that are clever and multi purpose.

We consider things not just from a marketing perspective but from a total business perspective, with an understanding of the bigger picture on your business such as team capacity, stock availability, cash flow, your time available etc. 

We can either work with you on a monthly business retainer to be an extra pair of hands within your business, or work on specific projects that you maybe don’t have the skills or time to tackle yourself. However we help, we will care about it as much as you do, acting like a second business owner with an eye on quick wins and driving overall growth. Results are what drive us and feeling like we are making an impact within your business is what will keep us interested! 

If there are any product or collaboration opportunities we see we can help push those forwards. Whatever your business needs to grow from a creative side we can help support that either directly ourselves or by managing external, local suppliers we recommend. When I set Yorkshire Brand Stories up I was on a mission to help local entrepreneurs and wanted to make a concerted effort to be better connected to the city I grew up in. The result of this passion has lead me to make 100’s of local connections from all walks of life.

I’ve met influencers, local press, membership sites and every type of creative business (including the UKs only female vehicle wrapper who just so happens to be in York). I’ve spoken with local manufacturers, events and attractions businesses, hospitality, experience providers, entertainers, business consultants, retailers of a whole range of products and even a company that can print your face on a biscuit! If there is a business in and around Yorkshire you want to connect with there is a good chance I’ve met them.

At Yorkshire Brand stories we specialise in localised marketing and brand building. We believe in making meaningful, like-minded business connections.
