I love working with other businesses, getting under the skin of what makes them tick and sharing their wonderful products and services. As well as offering brand and marketing expertise to local brands I have also been delighted to contribute to local business events and blogs.
Below you will find a selection of collaborations and projects I have enjoyed working on.
In March 2021 I devised and created a Community Bug Hunt for Doncaster Mumbler. This is an interactive hunt across 5 of Doncaster's popular parks and green spaces. Follow the story of Dennis the Detective Bee as he tracks clues to discover what has happened to his missing friend, Kevin the Caterpillar! More information about this trail and the materials I have created on this blog.
To celebrate Mother's Day York Cocoa House partnered up with one of our artists, Anna Cook, to offer their customers personalised Mother's Day cards with gifts. Customers were encouraged to leave them a note at checkout and a hand written message would be included in the card, the gift and card would then be delivered straight to Mum.
In February 2021 Emma Dixon joined Yorkshire Brand Stories as an intern from York University. Emma is currently studying English and will be with us for the next 10 weeks working on our Artist Collaboration project to learn more about the world of licensing.

On Wednesday 13th January, 2021 I talked about harnessing the power of collaborations at Make it York's Connect over Coffee. I looked at the benefits of collaborating, what kind of partners to work with and how to build a successful relationship as well as showcasing lots of fantastic York businesses.

In December 2020 I was asked to write a guest post for Make it York. My topic of choice, ‘The power of a brand story and how to use it to reach more customers‘.

In November 2020 I started working with chocolate manufactory York Cocoa House. I am a true chocoholic and cake lover so it has been a dream come true to work for such an amazing business.
York Cocoa Works source cocoa beans from farms and communities around the world and import them directly to their manufactory on Castlegate, York. They process the cocoa from bean to bar and use them in their range of innovative & flavourful hand crafted chocolates, chocolate drinks and cakes within the cafe and cakeaway service as well as teaching a range chocolate making techniques in their Cocoa Academy.
On the 30th of September 2020 I was asked to speak at the MPWR Online Business to Business expo. 20 hand picked, expert presenters, offered 36 different workshops there was something for everyone looking to up skill in Autumn 2020.
My session was all about creating your Brand Story. This taster workshop covered the importance of a Brand Story, walk through example with a familiar, local gin brand and taught you how to write your own Brand Story to attract new, loyal customers.
